Test things with the connectionless mode running. If it drops images then it is the fault of the SD card not being able to keep up.
You can also try slowing down the camera imaging rate by changing the SD card write speed setting in the Map Pilot settings.
In Connectionless mode, the dots being missing does not necessarily mean that the image wasn't taken. Those dots are only drawn when the camera says 'hey, I took a picture' unlike the Active Connect mode when it is Map Pilot says 'I am taking a picture now'.
You would not be the first user to have a card that says it is the fastest thing in the world only to benchmark it and find out that it is a counterfeit. You won't be the last either. Always buy your SD cards from the most reputable source possible (not the gas station or convenience store).
