Trimming Maps reset

1) How do you reset a map after you have attempted to trim it?  I want the first attempt removed.  I look at other comments but none of the suggestions worked.

2) When I establish the trimmed area, the acreage doesn't appear to adjust to the new boundry.  Where do I find the new assessed value?

1. Basically you use the trim tool again and just select a really big area around it. 

2. You can use the polygon measurement tool to measure specific areas. The total mapped acreage won't be updated due to trimming.
