26 Image files empty

Hi,

I have just flown a 600 image mission, I have a sequence of 26 image files that are empty (0 bytes).

I will have to fly this portion of the map again. can I merge a new small mission into the mission I have just flown, I really dont want to fly the whole mission again.

That is not fun... This is something either internal to the camera or caused by corruption in the SD card. Map Pilot doesn't do anything other than tell the camera to take a picture.

As long as the mission had plenty of overlap (80% or more) it will likely be fine without those images as long as that section isn't right over a bunch of bare trees or something.

Merging the images in is possible but it is hard to do well. Unless you can match the exact time of day and lighting conditions it will likely do more harm than good.

Thanks, had 75% overlap set. I could certainly match time of day and light conditions were fairly generic for area. How would I stand in terms of cost to try what I have hopefully with success, but otherwise, capture the missing area and attempt to merge?

75% is probably a bit thin to try to get away with that many missing images. If it was clear sun that is pretty easy to match.

You have to pay every time you run the data set as a whole. There is no merging after the fact or adding images to an already processed job. If it was initially 500 images and you were missing 26 you would either have to pay for 474 images worth of processing or go out and fill in that area and pay for 500 images.

You could try to run just that small area surrounding the 26 missing images first to see how it does without them. It if works int the small one it should work in the large one.
