Tried running a mission today with Drones Made Easy for the first time... Used it instead of Drone Deploy, but the mission failed.... So I have a a couple quesitons...
First, after an automatic drone-initiated return to home (the Drones made easy software wildly underestimated the battery life for the first leg of the mission) I couldn't get the software to re-enter the mission... I gather from the documentation that you are supposed to manually launch the drone after you change batteries, and the drone should fly back to the abandonment point... This didn't happen.... Its really not clear in the get started instructions what to do with multiple battery missions...
And to manually launch the drone you have to have the DJI go app running...
I have read other posts where someone asks about the DJI Go app.. should you close it or can you leave it on in the background... Haven't found an answer to this one because the documentation says different things in different places... So, please, do I close the DJI app or not?
What can you do if the mission doesn't pick up after you change the battery and manually launch? Must you manually launch then close the DJI Go app?
There must be something simple I am missing in the documentation, but I'd be grateful for help... I don't want to pay the drone deploy subscription rates, but I also haven't had this problem with drone deploy....
Thanks.
