Quad in sight?

Following a mission, must the quad be always in unobstructed straight line with the RC?
In other words, is the mission stored in the quad so it can accomplish it independently the RC?

Map Pilot currently only offers an active management form of controlling the drone's imaging. The waypoints are loaded on the aircraft and it will continue along the programmed path until it completes, the battery runs out, or it is summoned home.

The determination of when to take a picture is done by the mobile app because more smarts are required for that task that simply setting a photo timer. To do this, a solid connection must be maintained between the drone and the remote. If the signal get degraded too far by distances or obstructions, images may be missed and telemetry may drop out, but the aircraft will still be flying its safe path.

This situation is better for flight safety and data accuracy. We plan on offering a "connectionless" mode that will rely on the on-board image timer to take the images but we feel it is less preferable to operate this way.
