Can you pick a point on the map and get the elevation? I'm looking to determine my cut/fill subgrade quantities for a level concrete pad. The topography is on a sloped hill. If you could create a box and have the software give you a grid pattern of elevations within that box using topography every 5' or so, that would be cool. Then pick the "final" elevation you want to calculate the cut/fill calculations based on.
Yes. Just mouse over the area you are interested in and the calculated elevation will be shown in the upper right corner of the map below the layer controls.
You would likely get better results using slope analysis on the DEM in GIS software though.
