I've an M600 outfitted with a Sony A7R (w/ 35mm lens) mounted on a Ronin MX gimbal. This was NOT outfitted by Drones Made Easy, so there is no OBC. However, I've got a similar device that will trigger the camera based on distance traveled or a time interval.
I was wondering if it would still be possible to control the aircraft's flight path with the Map Pilot app. Presumably the parameters for that camera in the app would be adequate to plan a flight and then rely on the distance / timer trigger for image acquisition. I do understand that I would be losing some functionality in the app, but it would be nice to have that control over flight paths in place and not rely on DJI's Ground Station Pro exclusively.
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!
When the OBC is not present Map Pilot will not know when images are taken and annotations will not be made in the flight log for geotag insertion.
Without Map Pilot communicating the OBC Map Pilot won't know what it is attached to and won't do the overlap settings properly.
