Mission Planning

Hi

I'm a new user of map pilot. I need to know if it is possible to plane a mission by importing a shape file.

Map Pilot does not support Shapefiles. You can import a KML file and use that as a guideline for creating your layout.

When version 4.1 is released you will be able to import boundaries that are defined in Maps Made Easy into Map Pilot where the rest of the layout will be done.

But can a .kml file be imported through the desktop as well?  I know you can import them through email on the iOS platform, but I am confused if you can/how to do it through the Maps Made Easy website.  Please advise.

Below is a link to the beta version of 4.1. It allows for mission plan and boundary sync. We are still ironing a few things out but it is certainly stable enough for general use and testing. We hope to release it in the next week or so.

As of version 4.1 Map Pilot will be able to import Boundaries from Maps Made Easy.

For now, Boundaries must be draw in Maps Made Easy but we will have a KML importer on Maps Made Easy soon enough.
