I really need to see an elevation legend on the JPG output for the colourized elevation profile maps.
They are pretty much useless as a deliverable without the legend being on them.
I would absolutely love to include these for clients that we have but as it stands right now they don’t make any sense and I don’t have the time to manually write out a key for every map I’m going to be making.
Maybe there is a way to do this that I’m just missing. But it appears to me as it is right now that the legend is only available on the browser.

If you follow the first part of these instructions to load the DEM and colorize it, you can then save the image, import it into a new Print Composer and add a legend.
We make the raw data but it is up to the user to add the finish work to our outputs since there are a million options and ways you can customize it.

I have used the QGIS software you mentioned to create a contoured map but I can't quite figure out how to apply a legend for the changes in elevation on there. Would you happen to know how to do this?
If you do a little searching, there are various tuts online for how to generate a legend in QGIS.
MME generates a legend for the DSM hosted on their site. I'm not sure why that legend can't easily be added to the downloadable files as well, but there must be a reason.
