No control bar

I'm planning/testing a mission,  PHantom 4 connected, but there's no bar on the right side (ipad air 2) to take off, etc. 

 

What do I need to do?

Is the aircraft outside and does it have a clear view of the sky? The red triangle only shows up when you have a solid GPS satellite count and location fix so it can report where the drone is. After that happens the flight control panel will show.
