Flight Height / Overlap - linked?

I have noticed in MapPilot (Business), if you increase the required overlap, the flight height is increased, forcing me to fly higher than I need to.

I don't seem to have a choice in height if I want a higher overlap.

This only happens if I want to fly 57m or lower, above 57m, height and overlap seem to be independant.

Is this correct?

The site in question is small, and so flying lower, more pictures is not a problem for me, but gives me the benefit of more detail / accuracy.

In Pix4D, height and overlap are independent, used to determine the size of the flight pattern, number of passes etc which will of course affect flight time, but I get to choose.

Example:

I set the height to 30m. Overlap is set at 60m (default).

Increase overlap to 80%. You will see height is increased to 58m.

If I then decrease height, overlap also decreases.

I have found that if height is 57m or less, overlap is affected / linked.

Is this intentional? or a bug?

This is intentional and was added in 4.0.7 to help people understand the tradeoffs. Flight height, overlap, altitude and imaging rate are all related. If you adjust one it may force the adjustment of others.

You can buy a little extra by using a super fast SD card and adjusting the SD card write speed in the Settings to 2 seconds/frame. Or slow down the maximum flight speed.

You can have a ton of overlap or flow low but unless you have a super fast camera you cannot have both.

Im wondering if this is an issue with MapPilot Business, is there any way for me to unlock the feature in the normal map pilot app to try it out?

Restore function does not seem to work.

The same does not happen in Lite version though, only in Business?

In the lite version I can fly lower, maintain overlap and the flight pattern adjusts accordingly?

It probably didn't happen in the light version because it is limited to 75%-85% overlap and the flight height is also limited.

The apps are the same but different ranges are unlocked depending on which variant you are using.

I can see though, that ilite lets me fly at 40m with increased overlap compared to business version.
Can you help me with unlocking business features in the lite version so I can try it? Restore doesn't have any effect.

Restore is only used for getting features that were previously purchased.

Make sure that you have the exact same camera and SD card write speed selected in both versions. There shouldn't be any difference between the two.

If there are, please give us a super detailed description of what camera is selected in the settings and show screenshots of the layout with the overlap and altitude panels showing.
