Stitching multiple maps together

Hi there ..

I have a request to map about 600 acres. Obviously this is multiple flights and then combining maps. Is there a way to stitch maps of adjacent areas together through manual tie-points or some other method?

You can use our Location Map feature to layer the different maps on top of each other or you can use GIS software such as QGIS to "merge the rasters".

You can process data from multiple flights together as a single processing job as long as the lighting was consistent throughout. Doing one section one day and coming back to continue on another day may lead to problems if being processed into the same map.

I just need clarification please! Due to signal range limitation of my DJI P3S I plan to map an residential estate in 3 seperate MapPilot flights on same day! Will I be able to upload all 3 for processing and receive it back as on continuous map?

 Thanks

If you do them all quickly you can just do it from 3 different locations and process it all together.

You might want to lay out 3 adjacent missions that have two passes overlapping just in case. Like this:

The overlapping passes will help provide some extra overlap to make up for the lighting/shadow changes that will occur while you are changing locations.
