You could potentially rotate the map using GCPs and the realignment process but that doesn't seem to be what you are asking. Can you just draw a polygon instead of using the rectangle tool?

Map Detail Page Map Rotation
Is there a way to rotate the map to allow for the map north to change? I am looking to be able to use the square drawling function but I need the square or the map to rotate to place it in the right spot.

Thank you for the response. Rotating in that was seems to be more trouble than it is worth. I am trying to be more exacting with my lines than the polygon tool will give. As an odd request, if you could add the ability to rotate the square when editing.

Sorry, that is not something we are likely to add since we use 3rd party libraries of the drawing and they do not support that.
