Importing jpeg to Google Earth

I have downloaded the full resolution jpeg image but when importing to Google Earth as an image overlay, only part of the jpeg shows. I have checked the jpeg in photoshop and it shows there as a flattened image. Any thoughts on what this issue is. Opening up the jpeg in all other programmes shows the entire image.
