Greetings DME,
I have some questions for you regarding your M600 Pro package with the integrated Sony A7R camera.
Our outfit currently has an M100 that we have been using with the MapPilot app. This system works great for our purposes with the Linear Mission addon. We routinely fly a perimeter of a body of water from an elevated platform on top of a cliff face. The take off and landing area for are located approx 60 m above the water surface. With the X3 camera on the M100 we get a ground resolution of approx 2.6 cm flying at 60 m altitude. To view necessary targets on the water surface we require a higher ground resolution. We have found if we fly at 40m above water surface (1.7 cm ground resolution), the individual targets can be uniquely identified. Unfortunately this altitude above water surface puts us below take off elevation, and at one point during the survey we would lose direct line of sight and strong radio link (due to the cliff face). As a result I am looking for a new camera or camera and system that can acquire ground surface resolution of approx 1.5 cm or smaller at a minimum altitude above ground surface of 60 m (or preferably higher). Is this possible with your DME M600 Pro kit with the A7R? Do you know or could you estimate the ground resolution using this drone/camera system flying at 60, 80, or 100 m above ground surface?
I assume that the system sold is fully integrated and works right out of the box with MapPilot app? Do you still need to go through DJI Go to test the system before flight?
If we wanted to use a different sensor (XT thermal) would we need to replace the Z15 A7 gimbal mount with the appropriate DJI mount? Is this possible with the integration of the Ninja computer, or is this system designed exclusively for mapping with the A7R camera?
What is the weight of the associated DME addons in this kit, i.e. how much payload is left on the M600 when using the TB48S Batteries?
Thanks for your time!
