During a multi battery mission DJI air to S captures images in portrait orientation

Operating a DJI air to us most updated firmware available on an iPad M4 with the RC remote. During a multiple battery flight mission after swapping out a battery and continuing mapped mission images captured in portrait instead of landscape. This doesn’t happen every time but enough to be nuisance. I have shut everything down and close out and reopen app and restart mission from abandoned point. I make sure no other apps are open during flight so not to introduce conflict. Not sure if this is a bug or user error.

That is definitely weird and is not something Map Pilot Pro is telling it to do. Make sure you don't have any other drone related apps open at the time of running Map Pilot Pro.

Does it do it while still on the ground?

Does it respond to resetting it in the DJI app?

Also, if it continues to occur it might be an issue with the gimbal (it can snap to weird places) so do a gimbal calibration in the DJI app to make sure that is handled.

Another thing to look at would be the position of the camera when it powers back up. If it is in an awkward position it might find its home incorrectly.

It will fly to the first point and it looks fine until it captures the first image. I always fly with all other apps closed out so that’s not it. I will try the gimbal calibration on my next flight tomorrow. I will also do a screen record to show what is going on.
