I have just come across your website which looks very interesting, congratulations! Apologies if the answer to this question lies within your knowledge base that I haven't found. Basically, I would like to capture from the air the route of a future new railway line (currently pristine countryside), create a 3D representation of this (hopefully, using your capabilities) and then import this into a suitable 3D tool to then add a railway embankment - in order for people to then see in 3D what effect the new railway would have on their local area. Is this in principle feasible with your tools and capabilities? If yes, what mode should be used for the capture, and what type of 3D tool could the 3D representation be imported into? Thank you.
Yes, this is the kind of thing that is done frequently using our system. It depends how long the area is but if it is long you could break it up into sections of a kilometer or so and do 3 passes at a time with a linear mission plan. This would allow you to skip forward as it flies.
Use 85% along track overlap and 70% across track to get roughly 20 looks at everything in the middle section.
