Cost for Hosting Maps

Is there a cost for hosting the maps I produce?

Are you working on any offline viewer and a way for large map files to be broken up into tiles so the viewing could be done on a regular desktop computer?

There is no cost for the hosting of the web maps beyond the initial point purchase. If your map was generated for free it may expire after 6 months of inactivity.

We do no plan on offering a offline viewer.

If my customer wanted the map files and wanted the security of knowing that they could view their map if your company or mine disappeared, what would be the minimal software they would need?

Being able to view the map on your servers is a great service and very convenient and I can offer that as a free service as long as this hosting is available, but I'd like to be able to reassure them that if your service was no longer available that there would still be a way to view their maps without too much effort or cost.

Thanks.

The GeoTiff file that gets created contains all of the information at the native resolution it was processed with. That is was the tiles for the web maps are created from. As long as you have all of the Advanced Output files you will be able to reproduce what we have shown.

As Zane mentioned,  you could, for example,  import your map data you receive from MME into Google Earth Pro or Qgis, both of which are free.  Your clients can do this as well.  Not a hosted solution, but will work on your local system.

No maps have been deleted from your account. Since the Dashboard only shows the most recent 5 maps the might have rolled off of there. You can either click on the 'Maps' link on the Dashboard or go up to the top to the 'Maps' heading and click on 'Completed'. This list shows all of the completed maps in your account.
