Black screen on New mission - M4E on RC using Download 3.1.8e APK

I followed installation procedure for a M4E drone ("Mini 3/4 Series and newer DJI Enterprise procedure").

  • Downloaded 3.1.8e APK directly onto the M4E RC
  • Installed the app, ran it, logged in successfully
  • When I tap "New mission", I immediately get a black screen and the app seems to freeze.
  • Support page says black screens are caused by performance issues? But I'm using the M4E RC with the APK that's supposed to support that model. Trial Pro license is supposed to support M4E also. 

Please help! Was looking to buy a pro license but would need to test it out first to make sure everything works. Hoping I can find a solution before the trial runs out.

There's an issue with our latest build. It is defaulting to Google maps. The APK installations are not able to use Google maps as a base map source. Please go into the settings and select map box in the user interface section of the settings screen. That should fix it.

Did you switch it to Google maps or was it automatically like that with a fresh installation?

I had set the Base Map to "Google Maps", but when I set it back to "MapBox" as suggested, it worked.
