Time recorded (EXIF metadata in image) changes between UTC and Local time, without warning

Hi

I really wanted to understand where the time information relating to each image taken during a mapping mission (and stored in the EXIF metadata) originates from. I ask this as during a battery change, and after powering up the aircraft again, i noted that the time recorded in the images changed from UTC (GPS time I assume) to local time. I am using a Phantom 4 Pro with an iPad Mini 4 (without GPS chip).  Any help you can provide would be appreciated. We are trying to look at tidal levels of the sea, so need to know and understand what time each image was taken.

That is super weird but is something that is happening internally with the camera and is likely a firmware bug. The timezone is not something that is specified by Map Pilot.

Could you work around it by always doing a 'battery change' at startup to make it act consistently. I don't know why it wouldn't be that way the first time around though.

Check your battery firmwares since those are what is changing and make sure they are all the same.
