I'm trying to plan a mission using map pilot app in iOS that is in a location far from where I'm currently at. I have a kml that I'm using to define the boundaries. However, shortly after I start plotting the mission boundary the basemap jumps to my current location and my work is lost. How do I prevent it from reverting to current location? Note: I have tried placing the takeoff location first at my remote location but that doesn't prevent it from reverting to current location.
That can be a bit goofy sometimes. You could switch the device to airplane mode to keep it from doing that.
Your work isn't lost when it makes the jump. The fastest way to get back to it would be to zoom way out and then way back in to where you were working.
We will give that a look in future releases.

This has been addressed and will be fixed in the forthcoming version 4.1.
