Dji mini 3 connection question

Just wanting to confirm i am doing this correctly. I have the dji mini 3 (non pro) Map pilot pro E edition running on my phone Connecting to the dji-rc remote via the port not labelled host Running the latest firmware. I cant seem to get the app to detect the drone. Also tried the host port. Is there anything else i should be doing?

Yes, the 'e' version of the app is required for the Mini 3 series. But as noted in this link you can only use the N1 or RC Pro remotes.

Could we please get that article updated to specify it is not compatible with the dji-rc controller?

I purchased a DJI RC-N1 which is the remote model to which you use your phone instead of a built in screen and it does indeed work quite well.
