Cannot upload mission - error about waypoints too large???

I just installed Map Pilot and was trying to create a simple mission. When I try to upload that mission to the P3P I get the error:

"Distance between two adjacent waypoints is too large"

Nothing else.  The area is the size of a soccer field, not large at all.  Any clues about why, and how to fix this?

THanks

That error is a standard error provided by the DJI software. It generally gets fined when waypoint flights are more than 30km apart.

Did you try deleting the defined survey area and trying again?

This will occasionally happen if there is still an active mission that was taken somewhere else. When you define a survey area, make sure that the boundary is around the area you expect. If it looks like the lines go way off to somewhere else there is still an active point elsewhere and it is attempting to include that.

Any time you come across something weird be sure to take a screenshot of it so you can give it to us to help. Otherwise we are just guessing at what might have happened.

Thanks for that info. I will try it again after deleting everything on the map first.

This error finally came up in our testing and we were able to debug it a bit.

It appears that sometimes when the aircraft is freshly started up and moved to a different location from where it was last used it can occasionally remember that last location and attempt to use it as the home point. If that home point was far enough away this error will be shown.

This error can currently be fixed by using DJI Go to takeoff and do the test flight that we highly recommend doing before any Map Pilot flight. A test flight is a good way to make sure everything is in good working order before sending it off on a automated mission and also serves to clear out any memory of previous locations.

We have added a few checks that should get rid of this issue in a future release.
