Overexposed photos

The latest version of the app seems to make all my photos overexposed. They all seem to have the same shutter speed, aperture and ISO settings. According to an exif-viewer :
Exposure time : 0.0100 s (1/100)
Aperture : f/2.8ISO equiv. : 100
Whitebalance : Auto
Metering Mode : average
Exposure : shutter priority (semi-auto)

I've tried to do it with different phantoms (but same ipad), restarting the phantom, rc & ipad and the results are the same.

Also, is there a way to download & install an old version of the app?

Thanks

If the automatic exposure mode setting is still overexposing your images you are probably dealing with a REALLY bright scene. You might need to look in to using an ND filter to knock it down to a brightness the camera can handle.

This only applies when it really is too bright for automatic.

You could also look at the exposure time that was used for the over exposed images and then use the manual exposure time setting or shutter priority setting with a value slightly lower than that.

The problem with automatic exposure is that it can take a few frames to catch up in adjusting the exposure time and ISO settings if the scene suddenly changes.

If you are shooting a scene that goes back and forth between dark trees and ultra bright white rooftops this will happen. Even then it adjust pretty well.

Per the images you sent as samples, your issue is an automatic white balance issue and not an exposure issue. In order to keep those coloration variations from happening in the Auto white balance setting you can choose the Sunny or cloudy setting to keep things even.

I tried to correct the exposure compensation in light room as noted earlier in this thread but it continues to strip away my location data on export. Has anyone figured out the best way to post process the images to correct exposures?
