Unusual flight behavior

This was a strange new behavior displayed by my P3P today. Take-off and flight to start point was routine but when the bird started the run it began to jerk while in forward flight mode suddenly returning to stable flight about every 3-4 seconds, tilting back (as if it was going to stop) and resuming flight. After completing the mission the bird flew back to start point w/o any problems. I though there was a hardware problem with motors but after replacing battery I flew it around on P mode and all was normal. Has anyone seen this before? Any suggestions?
The mission was completed w/o any problems, just worried that the constant revving of motors to stop may harm the motors.
My speed was 5 m/s.

This has been referred to as the "bucking" behavior. We have seen it about every 1 in 10 flights. It doesn't affect the path that is flown or the imagery that gets collected but it sure is unnerving. There isn't anything wrong with your aircraft. It has happened on all of our P3s we test with. It won't harm the motors either.

We believe it is an issue with DJI's automated flight control firmware that is telling it to adjust the high quickly when it doesn't actually need it. It just gets into and oscillation state and stays there.

Feel free to report it to DJI on their forums or email at dev@dji.com

We have heard reports that it has been fixed in an upcoming firmware release.

Glad to know it is something well known, I was afraid it may be a mechanical problem. I will make a report to DJI. Thanks.
