Map Caching Download Errors

I have a similar problem, when I try to save a mission to use it offline, it doesn't save it, the progress bar doesn't even start loading

I can plan a mission, but when in the field and offline, and I want to scrub the plan and rejig it due to wind direction being different from what I expected, I can delete the planned boundary, do a new plan, change the direction of the flight path, but even when connected to the Inspire, I do not get any option to commence the mission. I cannot save the new plan either, even though it's using the same cached tile.

also, is there any reason why the original plans parameters (speed, height, overlap etc) cannot be changed from the main screen rather than in the setup section?

You can edit a saved mission by hitting the unlock button which will allow you to rotate the flight path and move the boundary points.

If you are not getting the flight controls panel that means you are not actually connecting properly. The flight controls panel is only available when there is a valid flight planned and the aircraft is properly connected.

You could try to save the edited mission and then reopen it to see if the aircraft will connect again.

Speed, altitude, and overlap are all saved in the mission since they affect the flight plan. We are looking at ways to add them in the main planning screen without cluttering things up too much.

Thanks for the response Ryan. Perhaps I'm doing things in the wrong order, or missing something... RC on, AC on, check camera settings etc in GO app, shut down GO app, open MME, manage missions, select mission, AC shows as connected... "Unlock" button shows as unlocked, but tapping it merely opens the info panel about area, no. of photos, point used etc. it does not allow boundary definition to be changed, or orientation of flight lines to be changed. So I trash to flight plan, and redefine the area, and change the flight line orientation to suit current wind direction. In doing this, the flight control panels have gone (because there is no valid plan), but they do not come back when there IS a valid plan. I try to save the mission, but get an error telling me I'm offline and the mission cannot be saved. Even though, as I said before, the background map is in cache already. Catch 22.

Maybe I need to save multiple missions with various flight line orientations...

 I get that you don't want to overclutter the screen with too much info. Would it be possible to have the pullout menus enlarge as a second option? Tap to pull out from the tab, double-tap to enlarge to enter settings? Sorry, getting off topic here...

It sounds like you might be missing the unlock button... It happens. We know it is small. Try it a few more times. When you actually get the unlock button it will disappear and allow the points to be dragged around again.

Small, Tudor, and impossible to hit! Many times later and the same thing happens, I just get the Survey Statistic Pullout. The Survey Stat. Pullout button does what it's supposed to do, and the clear boundary button works too. Once the boundary is cleared, the lock icon disappears, as you say.

Got it to work! Had to have wifi on on iPad. Not sure how this would work without a wifi connection...

Ignore the above. Just did another test with wifi off, and many attempts at hitting the lock icon with the outside tip of my pinky finger, and got it all to work as you both suggested. Will attempt a real world rather than backyard attempt soon. That lock button is HARD to hit.....
