Map pilot not connecting with Inspire Pro

Just bought the map pilot app today, however I have no luck in getting the app to connect with my Inspire 1 pro device. I followed the online instructions and all devices have latest updates installed. The RC is connected to the inspire 1 pro and connected in the dji go app as well. Any idea to what I am doing wrong here?

Thanks, I thought it would just be camera support issue. Any idea on possible release dates for this support?

There have been no announcements from DJI at this point. It will take us at least two weeks to get an update out once they have released it since it takes us about 8-10 days to get through the App Store review process.

It connected previous to our 10/3 update and public release because we were not identifying the drone the mobile devices was connected to. The DJI SDK had an update which treated different camera models differently depending on what was plugged in. That update and ones since then have not had any support for the Inspire Pro so it will no longer connect.

Connecting and being supported are not necessarily the same thing. DJI needs to add all the new resolutions and focus features before they will release it.

Thanks for the reply, we bought the drone mainly for mapping so I guess at the moment the only thing we can do is sit back and wait. How will we know when the SDK is released or that there is an update available?

Is there a way to get the beta previous to your 10/3 update back? We have bought the Inspire Pro for mapping...

Not really... We might try to work some preliminary support into our next release build.

That will be great to have some (preliminary) support for the inspire 1 pro, any idea of a date ?
Let me know i you need help testing.

DJI hasn't provided the SDK developers with any word on when Pro support might be added so we can't really give a date at this time. We are looking into workarounds for the short term.

There is no new support for the Pro in the latest version of the SDK. We are planning on adding a setting for selecting the Inspire Pro so the overlap geometry is correct and allowing it to connect again, but there will be no controls for focus since there is no support for it.

That sound promising :D i have a inspire 1 and inspire 1 pro ready for testing.

But how do we get sharp pictures if the focus control does not work ?

OK - New official word: No Inspire Pro support will be available in the next release. We added a switch to enable proper overlap calculation. Everything was working fine. Focus is still something that has to be done beforehand. We were all ready to release it then we found out it wouldn't connect to newly updated Inspire Pros. It seems our testing Inspire Pro had not been updated since it was delivered and would still connect as a regular Inspire. Between the recent remote updates and camera updates DJI has made it so it will no longer connect.

We apologize for leading anyone on. We have added the changes to our Map Pilot code and are ready when (if) DJI officially adds support for it, but for now the Inspire Pro will not be able to be used with Map Pilot.

We have finished adding support for the new aircrafts/cameras and are in the field testing phase. The next release will have support for the Inspire Pro and the Phantom 3 Standard so there is a lot of new functionality to test. If things go well we will be submitting for App Store approval in the next couple of days.

How did the field testing go, have you submitted the updates to the app store yet?

Inspire 1 Pro support was submitted yesterday so we hope it will be available in the next week or so.
