I just noticed that it is not possible to create an "L" shaped mapping area, and that any concave points just end up inside the larger area. Is it possible to add the functionality to create arbitrary boundaries? I understand that it has to be able to form a grid. I just want to avoid flying over a road or power lines in certain areas.
We understand that this would be a useful feature and hear this feedback a lot.
When we come up with a good algorithm for managing overlap through concave shapes or voids, we will look at integrating it.

X3 on this, I have a request to map a park and a concave shape would allow me to eliminate tons of private property from my flight! Keep up the good work guys!
The problem with shapes like this is that you cannot arbitrarily rotate the primary heading to deal with wind conditions without introducing blocked passes that then have to be dealt with.
We currently recommend breaking missions like this up into two or more separate flight plans. We will be releasing a feature soon that will make it easier to lay out adjacent missions.
Being able to line up adjacent missions to get proper overlap on a pass from a previous mission would be awesome! That would allow me break up the flight from my screenshot into much more managble pieces. A+ guys, keep it up!
Monitoring this item for a long time , also in the app update history. But this is definitely a feature that is high on our list. Often we have to make strange a short flights to avoid hitting an object. Any news on the progress on this and a estimate when this feature will be implemented ?

Not that we actually recommend doing it but concave survey area layouts are available in 3.1.0 which was released today.
