I have had this issue again.
3 Battery mission. Flight 1 & 2 were ok. Flight 3 MPP had a hard time detecting the drone. Had to exit multiple times, power off and on etc. Eventually it came good. Close to the end of the flight got the exited program flight message.

Make sure all other drone related apps are FULLY closed.
Log files only help once the connection has been established and telemetry recording only occurs after takeoff.

Drone apps are always fully closed.
The issue was more the exited programmed flight error not so much not connecting again although that was frustrating.
No obvious errors for the flight abandonment in the log either.
