Yikes! That is pretty far out. We just added the ability to do it up to further out missions with the release of 2.7.0.

Hi, I need to take a picture or map a small area 6 km further my home point. How can I do it?

Be sure to use connectionless mode and practice with it on smaller land-based missions first. We have not had great luck maintaining signal out that far over water.
