Coordinate system for MME .las files?

I apologize for my ignorance... I'm totally hacking my way through this fantastic new tool. I'm trying to get an MME .las file into ReCap and apparently the ReCap default coordinate system (LL84) is not correct. What is the proper coordinate system for MME .las files?

Many viewers expect to have the x,y and z coordinates in similar units and scale. In the LAS files from MME, the data is presented in decimal degree for x and y with height (or altitude) listed in feet or meters. viewing those files requires a viewer that can handle decimal degrees such as Fugro or QTviewer.

All of our georeferenced data products assume WGS84.

Ok, that sounds straightforward, thank you. How I determine whether the LAS elevations are in feet or meters?
