"In order to be able to access the terrain data with Map Pilot, a valid Access Token must be entered in the settings. Think of an access token as a password that allows the app to download the data. Once terrain data is downloaded for an area it is available for offline flight planning."

Without this token is that why the GeoTiff file generated in Google Earth is not draped onto the surface?
I import the tiff file into GE pro but the final layer is not draped. It is above the surface in a flat layer and under Get Info there is no Altitude option.
This token has nothing to do with the use of Google Earth.
Perhaps you should be loading the KMZ file instead of the GeoTiff if you are looking for elevation information. There are lots of posts about that here if you search.
