It is easy to plan your future missions with the Maps Made Easy website so you can easily manage future flights using a convenient desktop interface that syncs with our Map Pilot Pro data collection app.
While Maps Made Easy does not allow for planning the actual flight route on a desktop, you can easily define where you want to fly and sync that to Map Pilot Pro for the in-field part of the operations. This makes it so all decisions regarding weather, lighting, obstructions and other safety related decisions are made in the field, not while sitting far away at a desk.
The process is super easy.
- Define where you want to fly by creating the Boundary on the Maps Made Easy.
- Sync your Boundaries to Map Pilot Pro and use them in a flight layout.
Other options for desktop mission planning include the creation of KML polygons or line strings in Google Earth that can then be imported into Map Pilot Pro by hitting the 'Import' button in the File Manager screen. These shapes can then be used as actual flight paths or as collection area boundaries.
