If your battery isn't calibrated properly it will report that its state of charge is different from what it actually is which can cause issues.

Ah, but voltage doesn't lie!  Still hoping it is an option someday on the telem screen without having to open debug.  ;)

Both drone were serviced recently. 

The incidents happened after battery changes on 20 min flights. Both drones were flying with newish batteries less than 40 charges

What I find strange is that both drones did exactly the same thing - it happened very close to me as I saw both of them fall. 

Zane, I actually think that the maps made easy app had something to to with the incident. How is it possible that two different drones, both serviced recently with pretty new batteries both suffer the same fate. Is it possible to roll back the last update that I did as I am to scared to use the app now

We have reviewed your log files and it seems that they are littered with "Aircraft is tilted - please keep the aircraft stationary and level before flight" in the DJI Diagnostic column of the log file. This is indicative of a failing IMU or GPS module or at least is a IMU calibration issue. In your defense, this is not displayed to the user but it is always important to do a quick checkout of the health of the aircraft in DJI Go before every use of Map Pilot to get the full diagnostics. Without doing that there is no way to know if your aircraft's health is OK before flight. 

Aside from the DJI Diagnostic column stuff, it appears that there was a RC connection dropout at the end of a 2 flight mission. You haven't told us which flights had issues so we are having to guess here... A dropout is a period of time which Map Pilot is not receiving telemetry updates from the aircraft. This is usually a sign of poor connectivity or onboard power problems. 

For more detail, please inspect your flight logs or send us the links so we know exactly what flights you are talking about. 

When you have an issue like an aircraft falling out of the sky it is best to try to figure out the cause before putting another aircraft at risk.

I had to finish the mapping job that is why I used my back-up drone after the first crash
