App Crashing Upon Upload

Unfortunately, the Map Pilot crashes in IPad mini4 with ios 12.2!
The first time I was on the fly with ios 12.2, after capturing a screenshot with the virtual home button,The map pilot app closed automaticly, but Phantom 4 pro was flying and taking pictures in DJI GO 4, And when I came to the DJI GO 4, I saw DJI GO 4 is managing waypoits of sent by map pilot to dji go4 and I track the uav with DJI GO4!

The iPad Mini 4 is almost 4 years old at this point and the older battery will cause it to crash/close applications that are requiring more power than it can provide. You have two options: get a new battery for your iPad or get the new iPad Mini 5 (our recommendation).

There are no software causes for the crashing so it isn't something we can fix.  iOS and the DJI SDK keep requiring more and more resources, as does Map Pilot. We cannot support every device well forever. At some point the older devices will cease to be able to run any DJI related software.

Hey Christopher,  You understand that you should NOT have any other control app open, even DJI Go, when running Map Pilot, correct?

Just a data point, Zane.  My Air 2 (A8 processor) seems to still be working fine with MP.  I now also have an Ipad 9.7 6g (A10) due to your recommendations, but so far the Air 2 has remained solid (ios 12.1.3)

Dave: Thanks for the data point. We test with an iPad Mini 4 to test the A8 processor. I too think this is an issue with people not closing everything they should be...
