Flight Planning

I find it hard to plan a mission with the pilot app as I cannot put in the exact area I wish to fly in. The app sometimes auto corrects the area for the mission, this can cause issue especially when I am flying next to another area where I cannot cross into. Each time I try and add another point to change the area the app ignores this and keep it in a straight line.

Are you looking at anyway this can be corrected, as it does effect me using this app and then MME sometimes due to the override of the app in flight planning

I am not quite sure what you are describing. Map Pilot only allows for convex shapes to be drawn (no interior voids). This is to make it so the flight path can be rotated to be perpendicular to the wind without having to resort to really inefficient flight patterns.

If you wish to lay out a T or L shaped pattern for example you could do so by doing two separate missions that honor the areas you need to keep out of.

Hi there yes this is what I am meaning, the reason for this is so we can fly missions using multiple batteries, but then we are covering areas we do not have to cover and therefore using up more batteries and SD Card space and sometimes we may not be able to fly over these areas and then also the terrain may not let us into certain areas as well so I thought being able to have the possibility to make certain areas such as freeform patterns would make MME and the pilot app so much better.

Also, is it possible to make the points indicator to be the same as the MME app when drawing so you can get a more of an idea of what you will be using in flight planning.
