Proper Overlap and Altitude Settings for Lodgepole Pines

We have a lot of large forested sections we would like to map and none of the jobs we have done flying at 120m have worked out very well. What settings do you recommend for mapping forests with tall trees?

Doing treed areas require some special care. 80 meters seems to be the sweet spot and definitely use the 80% overlap setting. We highly recommend doing smaller free data tests to figure out what altitude and overlap setting will work best for the kinds of trees and terrain you are dealing with.

We have a lot of people doing large forestry sections and they turn out well once you get it dialed in for the type of trees you are dealing with.

All jobs done with our app that are less than 52 images will be free to process. Do a few tests at various altitudes and overlap settings to make sure it comes out as expected before running any large data sets.

Is there any way to tweak the processing setting for Depth Filtering (not sure if your online processing uses this) but we have found using Agisoft we have to disable depth filtering to get standing timber to work. Definitely try lower altitude and bump up the overlap as we have flown standing Jack Pine with no issues.
