Hi
When flying mapping missions in areas with "old maps" it would be nice to draw a polygon in Google Earth and then import it in Map Pilot as a overlay on the existing map (as in Mission Planner).
Example: you want to make a model of a new road which on the map is only forest.
Best regards
Andreas

I think it is a very nice idea if dronesmadeeasy's team can do it (Making the Plan first on Google earth then Importing it into Map Pilot App).
that will be great !
Please refer to the following article about getting set up to import externally defined markers and basemaps into Map Pilot:
http://support.dronesmadeeasy.com/hc/en-us/articles/207716853-MapBox-ID-and-MapBox-Access-Token
Great stuff :D did already some test , after the app crashed I did get the line's to show up cashing ?? .
It does make defining the area a lot easier. If the weather is better again i hope for a real life test. Keep up the good work !
You are too fast.
Check out step 6 here that makes it redownload changes:http://support.dronesmadeeasy.com/hc/en-us/articles/207718763-Importing-markers-lines-and-polygons-with-KML-GeoJSON-or-GPX-files
It can also take a bit of time for the changes in Mapbox to be available for Map Pilot to download.
Hi. I have tested to draw a polygon in Mapbox and also import a polygon from Google Earth to Mapbox. Then enter the MapID and API Token into Map Pilot and the polygon shows on the map, perfect! Thanks a lot!
