Map Pilot feature suggestions

I was Beta testing the app and only have a little more than a dozen or so plan/execute cycles.
From this experience my suggestions would be as follows:
1) make the overlap setting a mission setting rather than a app setting. By all means use a default (as for altitude) but allowing it to be adjusted per mission gives functionality of adjusting for steep terrain as you plan.
2) I use an ipad mini3 with a shroud and find the text at the top of the screen a little difficult to read outdoors. I saw a third party app the replicated the dji infobar at the top, not a bad idea for consistency (don't lose the signal guidance indicator though, that's cool!).
3) Being able to edit saved missions would be awesome!. Sometimes you want to tweak a mission and re-fly (several of mine are plan once re-fly monthly). I order of priority for me: Bounds, Altitude, overlap.
4) Upload bounds from kml. several of the areas I fly don't have current imagery in the planning app (apple maps?) and have changed fairly dramatically. Google Earth Pro is free and can import all kinds of imagery for getting more up to date images for planning (even MME output!). So this would be a fairly universal way of bringing bounds in.

Just a general comment to suggest to DJI that perhaps unbounding the height limitation for specialist apps like Map Pilot. Many countries either do not have the limitations DJI impose or do not have them with appropriate licencing/permissions. This will severely limit many commercial implementations.

Thanks for reading and thanks for developing such a cool and easy process for mapping!.

Thanks for the feedback, Mike.
1. We are trying to find a way to make these settings available from the planning phase. Smaller devices are running out of real estate quickly.
2. We plan on releasing an iPad specific layout at some point but with other the other features that have been requested we have to prioritize.
3. This is already pretty high on our to-do list.
4. This will likely not happen for a while. A more likely interface might be loading files through iTunes. KML is a likely format.

DJI will not likely remove limits on a per-app basis. They do have a system for allowing specific (by serial number) aircraft to be exempted from the rules assuming you have the appropriate authority to do so or are not in a region with limitations. We can't share our contact for doing so but you might be able to contact support to see what can be done.

Thanks so much for the response.
Hmm Perhaps 3 may solve my altitude issues :)

I too would appreciate being able to name, save and edit missions. Agree with all the #3 suggestions above.
