Problems With Mapping! Camera Feed Lag

I have never had a lot of big problems with Map Pilot. It has been a bit glitchy here and there but overall it has worked well for me.

I have not mapped anything in about a month or more. Recently I was going to map an area but noticed that the video feed was very laggy. There was about a 2 second delay and the picture on the Map Pilot app was very glitchy. What I mean is the color was off, the video would cut out, etc. I continued the mission to test if the drone would still take pictures. For one part of the grid it worked fine, but then after a while the lag got worse and it would skip out on a lot of pictures. Ending in a failed mission.

Could anyone please help me out on this? It's part of my business and need to get this back up and running asap!

Thanks!

What type of iOS device are you using? DJI has recently added a bunch of behind the scenes logging that seems to take up a lot of CPU power that was previously available to apps. This additional load seems to be affecting older iOS device by making them lag behind as you are describing.

We are working with DJI to get a way to disable this logging but until then, workarounds include making sure as many other apps are closed as possible, turning off the "Image Footprint" feature if it is being used, or getting a newer/faster iOS device.

I forgot to mention (if it helps) that the whole app seems to lag worse over time. I tried landing the drone and restarting everything. When I went to upload the flight plan again it took a LOT longer than it has done before.

I have an Inspire 1 that's fully updated and an iPad.

Thanks for the response!
I believe it's and iPad Air. I do know it's at least 2 years old. It worked totally fine before but now it's lagging. I checked to make sure there are no apps running in the background. But I did not take off the image footprints. I'll try it this weekend. Hopefully that's all it is but I think it's drawing too much power to make it that simple.
Either way it's at least nice to know what the problem could be. Hopefully I don't have to buy a whole new tablet though
