Image Resolution Issues/Camera Settings

I am having image resolution/clarity issues with my photos.  I am running my flight missions with your Map Pilot Pro app and with are using the DJI Phantom 4 Pro v2 drone via the DJI GO 4 app.

Typically, our sites are flat, and light is full sun/no clouds.  Mission altitude is 140 feet.  Overlap 80/80

I will fly the sites multiple times and sometimes we get nice imagery, so I believe I have ruled out a lens or defect issue with the drone.

Should I be using the DJI app to do my camera settings or the Map Pilot Pro app?  And to follow up, what should the settings be?

Thanks for your help!

You should absolutely not have any other drone related apps running at the same time as Map Pilot Pro. It may be what is affecting the imagery but it is more likely to make the aircraft fly to a far off place if you have multiple apps running. Don't do it.

What kind of clarity issues are you having? Blur or streaking? One is a focus issue the other is a flight control issue.

Focus can be tricky. If you are using Auto Focus it will pull the focus solution at the top of the climb to the cruising altitude. If you have a lot of motion in the area it is looking it may throw things off for the full flight. You have 3 options: make sure everything is still in the takeoff area (hopefully it is contrast rich), stop the flight and manually trigger another auto focus in a contrast-y location on the way to the green dot, or use manual focus values that are determined ahead of time. Each has their plusses and minuses.

You can read more about how to do each here:

I believe that when you touch the small screen at the bottom right, (the image of the current camera), to exchange it with the flight mission, the blur occurs.
It has happened to me several times, and it has always happened that I have changed the view of the camera on the main screen.

All that button does is swap the map and the camera views. It doesn't touch any camera settings. It video preview coming from the aircraft is actually pretty small so it can look a little blurry when you blow it up to full screen depending on the device. It is still sometimes helpful for checking focus with the manual focus slider and will let you know if you are way out on focus or not.

Forgive me for insisting, but I'm pretty sure the blur issue is caused by tapping the screen to switch between mission view and camera view.
I base it on the fact that whenever I have played there, the images come out of worse quality according to Agisoft's quality estimation algorithm, the images come out less than 0.7.
You guess this only happened in Phantom 4.
I will try to do a test, but I advise you to check that problem

Based on the images you provided there is no change in focus that occurs. It was all just bad. As we have instructed via email, please stop your flight and redo the focus in a controlled location if you have concerns about it. If you are super concerned you could derive a manual focus value that you could use at all times that you know would be in focus at your working height.

We have verified with the engineering team that no control of the aircraft or camera occurs when switching the camera and map views. We are literally just switching positions in the screen. It is not doing anything to control the aircraft/camera.
