Terrain Analysis

1. Want to compare terrain changes between multiple orthos. GPS elevation will be unrepeatable BUT, can I use the GPS of specific locations in ortho #1 as defacto GCP for future maps. This way the future orthos should align with ortho #1. The "GCP" locations will not change and will be very easy to identify. Do you think this will work?

2. For earthwork estimates, is there any mechanism to remove things like vehicles or foliage, so I can get an accurate surface model?

1. That is a good way to do it. Learning a little bit of GIS will be needed to do much beyond that. The image calculator in QGIS is fun to play with using DEMs as the inputs. 

2. Not using our software. This process applies a bit more using LiDAR data since some of it will penetrate the canopy and show where the ground is. Then it is a matter of stripping off the higher points. Photogrammetry won't typically give you the ground data to work with.
