Issues uploading kmz file to Google Maps - "model.dae" file inside kmz appears to be too big

166 drone photos sent thru Maps Made Easy with KMZ output selected.

Got the kmz file straight from MME. My kmz files from MME is about 3.5mb. Tried different methods of uploading into Google Maps. All attempts interrupted with a "file above 5mb limit" error. Puzzled me, the kmz was actually less than 5mb.

I then unpacked the kmz file and it contained (3 files total): the kml, jpg and a model.dae file at 25mb.

I think this file is causing me issues uploading my maps to Google Map.

Could someone clarify the proper setting or procedure which results in uploading a MME-created map into Google Maps - not Google Earth.

Thank you in advance.

The size of the KMZ is optimized for use with Google Earth. I am not familiar with what you are trying to do but can’t imagine being able to get much done with 5MB.

I am trying to upload my map created with MME and upload it on Google Maps so that when I open Maps I can see the layer of the drone map I created.
