Please refer to the following article about setting up a Mapbox account and loading your own data into it to use as a Map Pilot basemap:

Is there a way to import/utilize alternate maps into the Map Pilot ap? I'd like to use TopoGraphical maps and then use Map Pilot to initiate the grid pattern and flight images over it.

Hello,
I would like to fly a map near:
44.56454, -76.29489
However this map is completely clouded over and basically useless in a rural area. Other map sources offer cloud free views and I have created a KML file to display a png over the clouds but MapBox does not support network links so I can't seem to get a map to reference the area.
Any suggestions?
Can MapsMadeEasy switch to google maps or other source?
Thanks
You could load the KML file in to Mapbox as long as you verify that it is exactly what you want with your other map source or you could try to locate some cloudless GeoTiff data for the area and load that in.
Google Maps cost $25K per year for a license for us. We would likely have to dramatically increase the cost of our processing to support that.
Thanks Ryan,
Totally understand the license issue and no complaints. The maps are awesome except at that location. The KML file did not load into MapBox. The cloudless GeoTiff is a great idea.
