Potentially dangerous ReturnToHome height

Potentially dangerous ReturnToHome height
I know there is nothing in the way so I hit no and it won't let me upload the mission. If the question "Would you like Map Pilot to raise the RTH height....." Selecting no, the app should honour that and allow the drone to fly at the designated mission altitude for RTH. If you want it to make a change choose yes.

You know that but the aircraft has no way of knowing that. The aircraft has no knowledge of the underlying terrain so we set it to what has been determined to be a safe margin through years of trial and error (heavy on the error). The worst email we get is the one that says someones aircraft was intentionally flown into something.

We jump through hoops to keep people from crashing into mountains, trees, cliffs, power lines, towers, buildings, etc. We have seen it all at this point. If you don't like how it is coming home you are free to interrupt the return pilot it in yourself.

I thought that was the point of MPP asking the operator?

If that is not the case that is fine. Can you confirm if I hit "no" MPP should not allow me to upload the mission?

If I hit "Yes" it should let me upload the mission, at the low battery warning i can take over manually to return home at a safe height correct?

That is the correct behavior. If you don't want to adjust it it won't let you fly.

The pilot should always be ready to takeover and manually fly in if they don't like what the automated flight is doing. If you don't like the programmed RTH height you should fly it in on your own.

We do realize that this can cause issues in places with flight height restrictions but it is the only universally safe way to do it.
