I've just completed my first real mapping project, capturing the images with Map Pilot Pro on my iPhone. The mission captured about 750 images. I have started to upload them to MME using the MPP app on the iPhone, but the upload speed seems really slow (compared to what I would expect with my broadband connection). In 12 hours I have uploaded only 160 images, which means it's taking about 5 minutes per image to upload from the app. The 750 images would therefore take 2.4 days to upload. I am wondering if this is normal and where the bottleneck could be and whether I could load them into MME though other means (ie not MPP app)?

Is it happening on the transfer from drone to device or device to Maps Made Easy?
In either case those values are REALLY slow but in general this uploader isn't really meant for uploading more than 200-300 images since the drone to device speed is so slow.
The images got transferred from the drone to the device pretty quickly. The delay is transferring them from the device (via Map Pilot Pro) up to Maps Made Easy.
I can upload them pretty quickly to a cloud storage provider like Dropbox. Would Maps Made Easy be able to import them quicker from Dropbox?
Otherwise, I guess I will just use Firefox and try uploading them that way.
The files are being uploaded to Amazon S3 storage in Northern California. Depending on where you are in the world it might be faster or slower (sounds like slower for you).
The upload doesn't use their accelerated uploads which goes to the closest server to your location and that might be the issue. The website does use that so the uploads should be quick wherever you are.
