If this happens you can safely unplug the cable from the iOS device and plug it back in to force it to reconnect.

Mavic 2 Pro connection and camera view
Recently replaced the Mavic Pro with the Mavic 2 Pro. I've tried several times, but have not been able to get the M2P to fly a successful mission. It fails to connect intermittently and the camera view is blank, with only the target cross and the camera settings showing. Occasionally, it will show the image, but freezes. The Mavic Pro works flawlessly. Running on an iPad 9.7 Pro, new cable, etc. Have tried all the recommended connection issue fixes.

Are you absolutely sure that all other drone related apps are FULLY closed? What firmware versions are your remote and aircraft on?

I first open DJI Go, check for any warnings such as firmware updates and notices to calibrate the compass, etc. When everything ready to go, I leave the app. Next, I double click home and swipe up until no apps are running, then open Map Pilot.
Just did that procedure and get "Only RemoteController Detected", closed app and restarted app. After several tries, and switching to Sport mode, it showed a connection to Mavic 3 Pro. When I checked the camera view it displayed no image just this:

We test with that aircraft extensively and haven't seen this. It sounds like you are closing the other apps properly. What happens if you do a fresh power cycle of the aircraft and remote and not open DJI Go first?

I have been having the exact same issue...
When I first opened DJI Go,after that
When I did the fresh power cycle of the aircraft and remote and not open DJI Go first,as a result the camera's video feed did not displayed correctly.
