Battery Level on iPad

Hello, I was recently flying a Mini 2 with Map Pilot Pro with an iPad connected and noticed that the battery on the iPad was losing it's charge very quickly, is there a way to stop the controller from using the power from the iPad? Thanks, Don

I don't THINK it is using the iPad's power. The Mini 2 is a Virtual Stick aircraft which means the iPad then has an active part in controlling the flight which will take more battery. Close all other apps when using Map Pilot Pro to prevent any sort of contention for the connection and control.

Hmmm interesting, I only had Map Pilot Pro and DJI Fly open at the time, it's interesting that they these Apps would drain the iPad battery so quick, thanks.

Why would you have two apps open if you were only expecting one to control the aircraft? If there are two masters which does it listen to?

Good point, we usually arrive at the site after building a mission in Map Pilot Pro at the office. We connect the iPad to the controller, open DJI Fly and then connect to the drone to check status. I then open Map Pilot Pro, wait for the app to find the drone, do it's checks and then hit Start for the automated flight mission. I haven't had any issues with that process to date but I'm open to ideas.
