1. You need to plan things in the general area you plan on using before going offline. Once you have done that and saved it you will have the freedom to modify that layout with the basemap and terrain information without the internet. 

2. The Air 2S usually works pretty well. Make sure you are uploading the images directly as they come from the SD card. Some image management softwares will mangle the tags and make the images incompatible with our system. If you continue to have issues you can email a sample image to mapping@dronesmadeeasy.com so we can take a look at what is going on.
