dji_check_f_gps_reason

Hi everyone, I am experiencing recurring errors in Map Pilot Pro while flying a DJI Phantom 4 Pro V2 for photogrammetry missions. The following errors appear regularly, often together: • dji_check_f_gps_reason • dji_check_air_encoder_error_reason In many cases, the mission still flies, but sometimes it prevents mission start or shows warnings before takeoff. My setup: • Aircraft: DJI Phantom 4 Pro V2 • Device: iPhone SE • iOS version: 26.3 • Map Pilot Pro: latest version • Firmware on aircraft and controller: up to date Observations: • GPS signal usually shows 10–15 satellites before takeoff • Home point is set • DJI GO 4 does not show any critical errors • The errors mainly appear inside Map Pilot Pro • Happens in open quarry environment (no trees, no buildings nearby) Questions: 1. Are these SDK-related messages that can be safely ignored? 2. Are they caused by GPS quality, firmware compatibility, or encoder/sensor data? 3. Is this a known issue with iOS 26.3 or newer SDK versions? 4. Is there a recommended workaround to prevent these warnings from appearing? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

This is becoming more and more common as the P4P ages. The antenna for the GPS is in the legs so if the aircraft has had any rough handling or landings it will affect the connectivity to that component.

You will start seeing the aircraft lose its GPS connection which will stop the programmed flight. Sadly, this issue will get worse and worse until it becomes unusable.

Some people have had luck getting it repaired but that was a while ago and I don't think DJI is touching the P4P anymore.
